Why am I a Peer Counselor?
As intimidating as it can be to open up, I strive to be a safe, accommodating, and non-clinical resource for those struggling who need support. The attitudes of shame and distrust surrounding psychological treatment hinder our well-being. My own experiences with mental health aid have taught me this: We need to take better care of ourselves and each other. It’s important to me that you feel heard, understood, and appreciated for all you are!
