Approach to Therapy:
My approach to therapy is rooted in a holistic and person-centered approach. I strive to meet students where they are, honoring their strengths while supporting them through the many curveballs of life. I integrate a multitude of techniques that best serve the individual student such as: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused therapy. I value authenticity and connection in the therapeutic relationship and work to empower students to feel confident navigating present concerns and future goals. I view therapy as a partnership to help students build self-awareness, strengthen emotional resiliency, and develop positive coping skills.
Approach to Wellness:
When not in session with students, recharging for me looks like spending time in calm environments with family and friends. When away from campus, I enjoy summertime sunshine, experiencing the Great Lakes, long bike rides and outdoor walks, immersing myself in arts and crafts, attending comedy shows, reading any type of fiction, and strongly supporting the Detroit Lions.
