Location: Third floor of the University Health Service Building
UHC Travel Health Services are available to the following:
- Enrolled students
- Faculty and staff and their dependents ages 10 and up
- Individuals who have a UHC primary care provider (PCP)
Costs:
- Travel consultations: free for enrolled students; $100 for faculty, staff, alumni, and non-students
- Vaccinations and prescriptions will be billed to your insurance. If your insurance does not cover the costs, you will be responsible for payment. Out-of-pocket costs for vaccinations are available here.
- Over-the-counter medications and other supplies may be recommended for purchase.
- Is your department paying for some or all travel costs? If so, you will need to bring documentation from your department including their shortcode for billing. Any charges not covered by your department will be your responsibility.

Contact UHS Travel Health Services

Call UHC at 734-764-8320 or send a message through your MyUofMHealth Patient Portal to request a travel health visit. We recommend scheduling your visit 6-8 weeks before travel.

- Complete the Travel Health Questionnaire
- UHC will provide the questionnaire after you request a visit. Complete it as soon as possible. Have your vaccination and/or titer records available when completing it.
- Schedule your appointment with UH
- Once your completed questionnaire has been reviewed, UHC will send you instructions to self-schedule your appointment. Scheduling instructions are typically sent within 2 business days after the questionnaire is submitted.
Additional Steps for International Travel
These additional steps may happen at the same time as you are arranging your UHC Travel Health Services visit.
- REQUIRED: Register your travel in the U-M Travel Registry
- All U-M students, faculty, and staff traveling abroad for University of Michigan-Related Travel are required to register their travel. It is recommended for personal/leisure travel.
- REQUIRED: Enroll in U-M Travel Abroad Health Insurance
- All U-M students, faculty, and staff traveling abroad for University of Michigan-Related Travel are required to have this insurance. It is also available for students, faculty, and staff on leisure travel abroad.
