At a glance:
- Orders (blood draws, urine samples, x-rays, ultrasounds, etc.) must come from a UHC clinician or a U-M Athletic Department physician.
- Some services have fees that may be covered by insurance or paid out of pocket; please contact the UHC Billing Office with questions.
- There are no fees or insurance billings for common STI tests (more info below) for currently enrolled U-M students or as part of the Sexual Assault Exam or as a result of sexual assault
- Lab draws: no appointment is required
- X-rays: no appointment is required
- Ultrasound: appointments are required; please schedule with UHC Radiology directly at 734-764-8302

Lab Services:
- Lab draws are available on a drop-in basis; no appointment is needed.
- Some services may have fees or insurance billings.
- There are NO fees or insurance billings for common STI tests for currently enrolled U-M students or as part of the Sexual Assault Exam or as a result of sexual assault. The tests do, however, become part of your medical record so that you can see the results.

- Trichomonas
- Testing for hepatitis C is NOT included
- Ask your clinician about the timing of results, which will be in your patient portal. Lab tests generally take 1-2 days. Some tests take longer.
- Please note that by law, the laboratory staff cannot release test results. Results can only be released in your portal or by speaking with a clinician.
Radiology Services:
- X-ray exams are available on a drop-in basis.
- Limited ultrasound services are available by appointment; call UHC Radiology directly at 734-764-8302 (for Michigan Medicine Radiology, call 734-936-4500).
- Radiology orders must come from a UHC clinician or a U-M Athletic Department physician.
- For the fastest access to your imaging and reports, please use your patient portal. Your imaging will appear on your portal AFTER your radiology report appears on your portal.
- To request a disc to be archived or a new disc, please call us at 734-764-8302.
- We are not able to archive or digitize film. Only discs can be archived.
Please note the following imaging procedures are NOT available at UHC:
- CT scans, MRIs, nuclear medicine procedures, fluoroscopy or mammography, echocardiograms, vascular ultrasound, breast ultrasound, musculoskeletal ultrasound, and OB ultrasound past 1st trimester
